Where is the FIFA World Cup 2026 being held?
For the first time in tournament history, the FIFA World Cup will be jointly hosted by three countries: Canada, Mexico and the United States. Matches will be played across 16 cities, with iconic venues spanning from Vancouver and Toronto to Mexico City, Los Angeles, Atlanta, New York and Miami.
The 2026 edition is also the largest World Cup yet, expanding from 32 to 48 teams. That means more nations, more matches and more opportunities for underdog stories, nail-biting finishes and moments destined for the highlight reels.
Where to watch free live screenings of the FIFA World Cup 2026?
If watching football is a team sport, Singapore is giving fans plenty of places to gather. Across the island, everything from airport terminals and community spaces to hawker centres and waterfront plazas will be transformed into football viewing hubs throughout the tournament.
Changi Airport
One of the largest free screening venues can be found at Changi Airport, where matches will be shown from June 12 to July 20. Fans can catch the action at Terminal 3’s ST3PS in the public area, while travellers passing through the airport can tune in from TV lounges located throughout the transit areas of Terminals 1 to 4.
SAFRA Clubhouses
For those who enjoy a lively crowd, SAFRA’s seven clubhouses in Choa Chu Kang, Jurong, Mount Faber, Punggol, Tampines, Toa Payoh and Yishun will be screening matches on giant LED screens with immersive sound systems. Beyond the football, visitors can look forward to interactive games, contests, lucky draws and complimentary goodie bags while stocks last. SAFRA members can also enjoy exclusive viewing areas and complimentary drinks during key knockout matches including the quarter-finals, semi-finals and final.
Community clubs and sports centres
Neighbourhood football fever will be in full swing too. Starting June 12, selected matches will be screened at more than 50 Community Clubs, five ActiveSG Sport Centres and The Kallang. The People’s Association will kick things off with the opening match between Mexico and South Africa, while Sport Singapore begins its screenings with South Korea versus Czech Republic later that same day. The Kallang Wave Mall will host the tournament’s final four matches, ensuring fans have a communal space to experience every dramatic twist as the competition reaches its climax.
Lau Pa Sat
Those who believe football is best enjoyed alongside good food have plenty of options. Lau Pa Sat will be screening matches daily on two massive LED screens, complemented by its round-the-clock selection of food and drinks. Over in the CBD, One Raffles Quay Garden Plaza will host screenings of the semi-finals, third-place play-off and final, with food and beverage offerings from participating tenants and a bring-your-own-food concept for added flexibility.
McDonald’s Marine Cove
For the ultimate final-night experience, McDonald’s Marine Cove is hosting a special FIFA World Cup Final Watch Party on July 20 from 2am to 6am. Fans who redeem tickets through the McDonald’s app on June 30 can enjoy unlimited Chicken McNuggets and French Fries while watching football’s biggest match unfold.
Mediacorp broadcast
Of course, if your ideal viewing setup involves a sofa, air-conditioning and zero queues, Mediacorp will broadcast 28 matches free on Channel 5 and mewatch. The free-to-air lineup includes two matches from each of the 12 groups, along with both semi-finals, the third-place play-off and the final.

Running until June 21, the LEGO Football Fest at Compass One transforms the mall’s atrium into a football-themed playground where you can dribble through a maze, take on robotic football challenges, build your own LEGO jerseys and snap photos alongside LEGO versions of football superstars like Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappé and Vinícius Júnior.
Weston Corp World Cup 26
Over Jewel Changi Airport, Weston Corp World Cup 26 pop-up showcases one of the world’s largest collections of federation jerseys ahead of the tournament. Running until July 31, the immersive space brings together home and away kits from more than 40 nations, alongside exclusive jerseys, World Cup merchandise, customisation services and photo-worthy installations inspired by the atmosphere of a matchday stadium.
Nike Football x Weston Corp Pop-Up
Meanwhile, Orchard Road has scored a major signing of its own. Nike Football’s Rip the Script World Cup Pop-Up at Wisma Atria, created in partnership with Weston Corp, features one of Singapore’s largest football assortments, spanning the latest boots, national team jerseys, apparel and accessories, alongside customisation services, interactive experiences and content-worthy installations. Fans can also sign up for the inaugural Weston Cup, a community tournament inspired by international football competitions that will run throughout the World Cup period.
Football Fever
Elsewhere, CHIJMES and Capitol Singapore are turning into football central with Football Fever, featuring live screenings on massive screens, football-themed games, giveaways and family-friendly activities.
