Timezone (Jurong Point)

Timezone Jurong Point

It’s not just first-person shooters and button-mashing at arcades these days. Game centres now come with all sorts of newfangled entertainment, some even with special virtual reality (VR) elements. Now, aside from a rotating selection of 130 games, a visit to Timezone Jurong Point also gives you the chance to have a spin in a maxi drift bumper car arena.

While regular carnival-inspired bumper cars are not an entirely new sight in Timezone arcades, this new fleet of high-speed maxi drift bumper cars at Jurong Point is the first of its kind in Singapore – allowing you to skid around bends like a pro racer. A pretty aptly-timed debut, we must say, considering the fact that it’s currently F1 season.

Up to two can ride in a single car, and even children are welcome to zoom along the 11-metre by 20-metre track. Easties might wanna save the passport jokes for another time – this elevated bumper car experience is an outlet-exclusive that’s worth the commute.

That aside are over 130 exciting games that are constantly on rotation. New additions to this lineup include Over The Edge, where blind boxes are up for grabs, Hyper Cross, a racing game, and Break The Plate, a modernised carnival-style throwing game that’ll test your reflexes and accuracy. Of course, mainstays like rhythm games, claw machines and Sweetland remain.
