This unassuming eatery in the heart of Serangoon is run by Ernest Ang, a young chap in his twenties who decided to start his own F&B joint focusing on Peranakan recipes handed down from his great-grandmother to his grandmother. Everything is grandma-approved, from the heaving plates of beef rendang made with tender cuts of Golden Coin beef (or heel muscle) and sambal telur, to the sweeping assortment of delicious Nyonya kueh. Our favourites include the yam ondeh ondeh, kueh bingka ubi kayu (baked tapioca), and the kueh salat made with black glutinous rice.
